Olive Branch - ROMA M. CHANDLER, 77, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. A family graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday. She was born in Kaunas, Lithuania and was married to the late Walter J. Chandler for 54 years. She leaves four daughters, Marie Marchese of Chester Springs, PA, Lynn Smith of Memphis, Linda Phillips of Point Clear, AL, and Roma Rogers of Washington Crossing, PA, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.


Hernando- MICHELLE CORBIN MOORE, 38, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at DeSoto Baptist Memorial Hospital at Southaven. Visitation will be Saturday, July 5, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Hernando Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, with burial following at Oak Grove Cemetery, west of Hernando. Officiating the services will be the Rev. Wayne Long from Pearl, MS. Miss Moore leaves one daughter, 12, Ashley Ellen Moore, her mother Helen Corbin of Lambert, two sisters, Phyllis C. Howard of Memphis, TN and Janice C. Murray of Southaven, three brothers, Steve Corbin (Kim) and Dennis Corbin (Dianne) of Lambert, and John Corbin, Jr. (Amy) of Batesville, MS, half-sister Belinda Powell of Dudley, MO and significant other Henry Barringer of Hernando, MS. She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Miss Moore was born at Clarkdale, MS, July 7, 1969. She graduated from Delta Academy at Marks, MS, in 1987. She was a graduate of Mississippi State University where she received a Masters degree from the School of Accountancy in 1992. She was currently employed at Smith & Nephew in Memphis, TN. Serving as pallbearers will be six of Miss Moore’s nephews, Kellen, Kyle and John Cameron Corbin from Lambert, John Howard of Memphis, TN and Jeramy and Devin Murray of Southaven, MS.


Nesbit - BILLY J. SMITH, 73, passed away July 3, 2008 at Methodist Germantown Hospital. He retired as an Inspector with the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, after 26 years of service. After retirement he became a Mid-South Area Home Builder. He is survived by a daughter, Vickie Freeman, Olive Branch; a son, Tony Smith, Olive Branch; four grandchildren, Jimmy Edwards, Michelle Wells, Christa Smith, Tyler Smith, three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joyce Cramblit, Huntsville, AL. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, with services at 12 p.m. Monday, both at Forest Hill Funeral Home South.
