Coldwater - MARGARET “Meema” DEVER, 93, widow of Robert E. Dever, Sr., passed away on July 13, 2008 at Senatobia Convalescent Center in Senatobia. She was born in Scobey, Mississippi and moved to Coldwater in 1974. She was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church in Senatobia. She previously lived in Horn Lake where she attended Christ the King Catholic Church and worked for 25 years in the Horn Lake School cafeteria. She was a gentle, quiet woman who spent her life loving and caring for others. She was loved by all who knew her and leaves behind many relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Reddish of Southaven and four sons, Clyde Dever of Coldwater, Bob Dever of Phoenix, AZ, Roger Dever of Cookeville, TN and Danny Dever of Senatobia; one sister, Eva Mae Anderson of Hernando. She also leaves 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grand-children; two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Dever, sister, Lucille Latimer, and brother, Clyde Best, Jr. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 16 at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home in Hernando. Funeral mass will be on Thursday, July 17 at 10 a.m. at St. Gregory Catholic Church in Senatobia. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Coldwater.


Senatobia - ROBERTLOUIS MALONE, JR., 64, truck driver for B&B Trucking, died July 11, 2008. Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. Thursday, July 17 at Gillespie Funeral Home, and Friday, July 18 from 12 p.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Heartland Missionary Baptist Church, 385 Stateline Road, Southaven. Burial in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Memphis, TN. He leaves his wife, Lovell Malone; four daughters, Ursula Atkins, Raquel Green of Memphis, TN, Melody Evans of Horn Lake and Jiryl Calhoun of Seattle, WA; three sons, Christopher L. Malone, Robert T. Malone of Memphis and Ronald Jackson of Senatobia; three sisters, Dorothy Townsend, Jessie Scales and Ethel Radcliff, all of Olive Branch; one brother, John Malone of Memphis, TN and 15 grandchildren.
