Como - JOY F. LOMONACO, 78, formerly of Memphis, died July 23, 2008. Joy was a retiree of the I.R.S. Ms. Lomonaco is survived by her daughter, Debbie Cook (Larry); grandchildren, Ricky and Cameron Lomonaco and Christina Cox; and one great grandson, Dylan Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Lomonaco. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Forest Hill East. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Memphis Memory Gardens.
Horn Lake - DAVID PANNELL, 43, died July 23, 2008 at his residence. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26 at Hernando Funeral Home. Interment in Hernando Memorial Park Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Pannell and one brother, James Hunter. He leaves his mother, Queenie Pannell of Horn Lake; two sisters, Linda Meyer and Betty Dixon, both of Horn Lake; one brother, Steve Pannell of Las Vegas, NV.
Southaven - CORNELIA VICK-HUGHES, 83, retired from Genuine Parts-Memphis, TN, died July 23, 2008 at her residence. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Friday, July 25 at Hopewell Baptist Church, Water Valley, MS. Interment in Hopewell Cemetery. Mrs. Vick-Hughes, widow of Edward F. Hughes, was a member of Broadway Baptist Church and an avid Ole Miss fan. She was preceded in death by one sister, Lt. Edna Vick and three brothers, Lt. Commander Warren Vick, Wayne Vick and Dr. Walter Dean Vick. She leaves one daughter, Gloria Hughes-Strickland (Dusty); one son, Ron Hughes, both of Southaven; two sisters, Beulah Crawford of Jackson, MS and Bettye Horton of Ridgeland, MS; one grandchild, Heather Strickland-Burnett (Nathan) of Grenada, MS; two great-grandchildren, Savannah Grace Burnett and Lylah Kate Burnett, both of Grenada, MS.
