I am related to Andrew Jackson Pearce/Elizabeth Virginia Breland, James Pearce/Margret Palmer, Prentiss Pearce/Mary Azelene Nelson (my grandparents).
Margret Palmer's father was John Palmer born 1820. He was married two times: 1st: Eliza Jane Terry (b:1830) with one son John (b:1849). 2nd: married Sarah ?, Children were:
Melton, Margret, Mary Ann, Maria Ellen and Elizabeth (born 1868).
I can locate John in the 1850, 1870, 1880 census all in Perry County. I could not find him in the 1860 census and in the 1880 census Eliza is shown as a widower.
I have information on the families of John's children if you need them.
I wonder if your Elizabeth is possibly John's sister? I wish I could find more information on John and his parents but this is my brickwall.
I was in Mississippi about three years ago and if you live near the area there is a Gillis/Pearce Library on old rt. 49 that has wonderful family history information.
