The 1900 census for Perry Co., Ms, page 215 shows a name that is indexed Thomas Taylor and his wife Rosa or Rosie. My copy is not very clear for either name. He has a sister, Mamie, 19, living with him. Mamie G. Taylor married M. M. Moore on May 19, 1908 and V. P. Taylor married Sidney Manasco on December 10, 1905, both marriages in Perry Co., MS.
In 1910 Perry Co., page 289, he is listed as Pitman V. Taylor 33 with Sidney, 20 and sons Pitman, 3 and an unnamed son, age 1. They are living in the same household with his sister, Mamie, who has married James J. Moore. They too have an unnamed son.
In 1920, the Taylors are living in Jones Co., MS, page 16. He is listed as V. P. Taylor, 41, Sydney 30, Pitman 13, Andrew 10, J. C. 8, (I think it says) ?irine 6 and Ruben 6/12.
Finally in 1930, Jones Co., MS page 228, we find George P. Taylor 20 and wife Mary P, 28 with George M. son 3 2/12, Virgil P, son 7/12, Rubin, brother 11, Adolphus, brother 10 and Deloria, sister 5.
I believe this is all the same family, but I have not found V. Pitman Taylor or Sidney after 1920.
