My grandparents (Delma Lee "Deety" Harmon and Edward Charles Boehm) are both deceased, and no one knows exactly when they got married. I think this is because my father might have been born before they got married, and it's a well-guarded secret.
Anyhow, I know they were married either right before grandpa shipped out in WWII or right after he got back, but that's all I know as far as a date. I do know they were married in Hattiesburg, Forrest cty, MS.
To request a copy of the license I'm asked for the marriage date. Does anyone have any ideas for me? While I empathize that my father and the rest of the surviving family doesn't want to know for sure, my grandmother was my idol and that wouldn't be a scandal to me at all. I just want to know when they were married.
Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!
