Lester, Thanks so much for your prompt response to my query. I was also delighted to receive all that important information concerning Uncle Fred's family. I spent most childhood vacations in Zion Hill at my grandparents. We would drive at night (cooler) and get on the ferry at Natchez in the dark. I think it was Meadville where we hit the gravel road, or Roxie. Anyway, I knew we were about an hour from Grandma's when the gravel started. When my husband was attending A & M, I worked for the head of the Poultry Science Department. One day, he asked me to alphabetize the masters' theses in the conference room. Glad to oblige, I was just filing away when suddenly, I almost fainted! The one I picked up was written by Fred Oberschmidt Parsons and dedicated to his wife, Nonie Brady Parsons! Small world! Are you related to the Parsons? I have a letter which Fred wrote to my dad during the worst of the depression. I will be glad to copy it for you if you are really studying this family. Your name is so familiar to me--do you post on the Amite site, by any chance? I am all over the web, so there is no telling where I have run across your name. Let me know if I can help you with any needed Brady information, or if you are connected to the other ancestors whose surnames I listed on the other letter which I posted to the Franklin Co. site. Best and Thanks, Mildred Brady Venitucci, niece of Nonie Brady Parsons Bradford. Notify Administrator about this message?
