My ggggrandfather was Rev. William C. Payne. According to his gravestone in the Yellow Fever Cemetary at Grenada, Mississippi, I know he was born 29 May 1808 (place unknown) and he "Died at his post" 29 Feb 1846 at Vicksburg, MS. I know he married (Date Unknown) Magdalene Walker Gibbs who was from North Carolina. They had a daughter Margret Fitzgerald Gibbs (b. abt 1837 in Grenada, MS). I do not know names of Siblings.
Would like to know any and all of the above unknowns, and find William's father and mother. (even his middle name might help).
