Looking for Albin and Mary (Glover) Bowers and any information on their ancestors, descendants, and children.
Their daughter, Nancy Barbara Bowers, was my grandmother. We believe she was born in Pearlington,Hancock County, Ms. April 6, 1887. We know that Nancy had a brother, William Bowers, who was living in Pearlington, Ms in about 1926.
I have a picture of William at about that time, but know nothing about him. It appears that he was living on a farm and is holding a pet bard rooster.
We believe Albin died in Pearlington, Ms Dec. 26, 1893. Would like to locate his place of burial. We believe he was born in either Pennsylvania, or Illinois on Jan. 10, 1862, and that his parents may have been David Corwin Bowers and Nancy (Carey) Bowers.
We believe Nancy Barbara Bowers spent some time in Louisiana, and may have helped to run some sort of mercantile or Haberdashery store, with some relative, in either Lafayette, or Bogalusa, Louisiana.
Nancy may have been married in Bogalusa sometime before 1918. Her first daughter, Angeline Magdeline Marth was born in Bogalusa, La
Nancy and her husband, Andrew W. Marth, moved to Altadena, California sometime between 1918 and 1921. Their 2nd daughter, Lorena Bradford Marth, was born in Los Angeles Co.,California on April 23,1921, and my mother, Barbara May Marth,was born in Los Angeles Co. California,May 5, 1922.
Any Bowers or Glover information would be most appreciated.
Other Bowers I am looking for are Miranda Bowers (Mitchell), Albert Bowers, & John Franklin Bowers.
