I am not sure about the line that you are referring to however the Warden connections in MS start with a John Warden who was in Greene County, MS Territory early on. You can check the early Greene County Tax Records. His son, James married Martha Chatham whose brother, Thomas Chatham came to Texas in 1834. Thomas Chatham b. 1801 and Martha who was older and there was another brother Noah came from SC. I think their father's name was Thomas and the mother's name was Mariah. Thomas, and I believe his mother and father and brother Noah were in Marengo County, AL. The father may have died about 1830 and Thomas left Marengo County in late 1833 and shows up in Stephen F. Austin's colony in Texas in January, 1834. He settled in Montgomery County, TX. One of the McGee family's wife worked in the library in Picayune, MS a year or so ago and I met her and her husband. I am descended from Thomas Chatham and his wife, Tabitha (Ditha) Elkins. They were married in Marengo, AL. I am in possession of a copy of a letter that was written by Martha and James Warden in Hancock County to Thomas Chatham in 1852. It lists most of their children's names and some of their children's names.
