Dear Lorna,

Thank you very much for you generous offer to look up information.

I'm looking for the parents of Nora Carver who married Mallet Spikes. Their daughter Mary Spikes (prob. b. circa 1920) maried Alvin Earnest Favre (b. 18 Jul 1918 Bay St. Louis, MS). So, I'm guessing that Nora Carver and Mallet Spikes would have been married circa 1915-20 and they would have been born by circa 1885-1900. Nora is a nickname for several other Nora Carvers whose real name is Honorine - another nickname is Norine. The Favre family lived in Hancock Co. - first in Bay St. Louis and later in the Kiln. The Carvers resided in Bay St. Louis.
I would be most grateful for any kind of information.

There was an Honorine "Nora" Carver b. 1882, child of Elihu "Leo" Carver and Mary Adeline Jones. This Nora apparently died before the 1900 census. I suppose it is possible that the 2 are the same but her family never mentioned a marriage for her - only that she died in her teens. This is one of the things I'm trying to determine. I'm researching both lines, so it would be helpful to know in either event. This Carver family resided in Bay St. Louis until about 1898 then in Waveland, MS.

Much appreciation,

MJ
