Looking for information on Melinda/Malinda Norris Wilson. Melinda/Malinda married Alexander (Alex) Wilson in 1969, Santa Rosa County, Florida. Alex was born in Georgia and Melinda/Malinda was born Florida. They had the following children:
Martha Wilson
James Valentine Wilson
William Daniel (Dan) Wilson, my great-grand-father
Elwida Wilson
Jake Wilson
Grace Wilson
They lived in Escambia County and Santa Rosa Counties for years. They moved to Lyman Mississippi, not sure what year.
I have found them listed on the 1910 census, Mississippi, Harrison County, Beat 4. The census indicates they are married 43 years, number of children born 12 and 8 still living. From those numbers and the list of children I provided, I’m missing some children.
According to records I found on Ancestry.com, Melinda’s parents are Notley Norris-father and Nancy Griffith-mother.
The other names I’m researching – Dunaway and Cooley.
