Seek grave, obituary, death certificate, fellow descendanrs, of Mrs. Mary Watson Porter of New Orleans, Louisiana; born Dover / Portsmouth, New Hampshire; died, buried Biloxi, Missisippi, 1846. She was the widow of New Orleans lawyer, David Copp, Jr., Esq., and New Orleans (Customs Collector?) Robert Porter; she was likely interred in the Biloxi tomb of her New Orleans / Biloxi son-in-law, John Nixon, Esq's Biloxi tomb? He owned the Nixon House Hotel, Biloxi. Her children were Biloxi, Mrs. Adeline Cecelia Copp Nixon, and New Orleans William Augustus Copp, Sr. William's children 1846, had returned to Wakefield, Stafford County, New Hampshire. They were Wm. A. Copp, Jr., Mary Porter Copp, Margaret Palmer Copp, and John Manning Copp. Their great grandfather was Dover, N.H., Revolutionary War patriot and legislator, LtCol.
