I am researching the family of David Edmund "Ed" and Irene Harkness MORRIS of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He was born in 1866 in Moss Point and she was born in 1880 in Biloxi. Ed was an engineer employed by the Dantzler Foundry in Gulfport. He was the son of John Wesley and Fannie Wright Morris of the Moss Point/Pascagoula area.

Children of Ed and Edna and born in Gulfport were John Harkness Morris, Irene Morris, Martha Wright Morris and David Edward Morris. The couple divorced and Ed married Elizabeth Thorweagen (sp?) and they resided in New Orleans. He is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport. Edna is buried in the Old Biloxi Cemetery-in her family's plot.

I have no information on any of the children except for John Harkness Morris, who was my grandfather. He married Rosie Smith and they lived in Gulfport. He was a car dealer there and she was a Registered Nurse at Gulfport Memorial Hospital.

If you are connected to this family or have any information you might wish to share please contact me. I've collected quite a bit of family history regarding this family and would love to share it with distant relatives. Thank you so much!
