Merry Bracey (1783-1840) m. Elcie (Alice) Moore, daughter of Isham Moore and Nancy Ann Singleton in Sumter Co. SC on March 6, 1804. Isham Moore was the son of John Moore and Tabitha Pace. Merry Bracey and his wife Elcie (Alice) Moore moved to Hinds Co. MS where Merry Bracey died in 1840. They had the following children:
1) Augustus James Bracey, b. 1806
2) Gabrielle Bracey, b. 1810
3) William Isham Bracey, b. 1812
4) Ann Mary Bracey, b. March 22, 1814
5) Sallie Bracey, b. 1816
6) Xenophon Lynch Bracey, b. December 16, 1816
7) Eugenia Bracey, b. 1817
I am a descendant of Sarah Moore who married John James in SC. She was a sister to Isham Moore. Would like to correspond with any descendants of Merry Bracey and his wife Elcie (Alice) Moore. Will be glad to share what family information that I have. Charlotte G. Boykin
