This family does not appear on the 1870 Holmes County Census. From the info on the 1880 Census, I would think Christopher arrived in Louisiana about 1875. Since his wife is from Louisiana, I would think they married in 1877 or 78 in Louisiana. Since Littia was born in MS in 1879, I would think they came to Holmes County between 1877 and 1879. There isn't much more since you think they moved back to Louisiana about 1883. The court house burned in 1884 and all records were lost. Holmes County was divided into 5 Beats. Beat 1 was the area around Lexington. I would suggest that you try Ancestry.com or the Morman Church site at <www.familysearch.org>. I would search in Louisiana instead of Mississippi.
Good Luck, Dudley
