Looking for information on the family of Lemuel W. Tate and Minerva Unknown last name.
They are in the 1850 census for Holmes Co. MS. In 1860 Minerva is there with children.
Children were:
Milton A.born 1847, married Mary A. Coleman
Thomas/Tobias C. born abt 1848, married Sallie/Sarah unknown last name
Augustus C. born 1849, married Frances A. Owens
Lemuel W., born abt 1853
Christian A., born abt 1855
John J., born abt 1856
Robert Edward born abt 1858
It looks like the Father Lemuel W., died about 1858.
I think Milton is in Gregg Co TX in 1880 with wife Mary and children William, Lemuel and Savannah
Augustus is in Holmes MS in 1880 with wife Fannie and children,Williard, Ella, Augustus and Addie. His brother Edward is with him.
Tobias/Thomas is also in Holmes MS in 1880 with wife Sallie, children John, James,Lemmie and William. Lemmie is listed as Female, but this is wrong.
