I am looking for any information on the John Shelby and Anna (Parker) Bates family from Holmes/Humphreys Co., MS. Their children were:
1.Henry Cleveland Bates Born Dec 8,1894 in Holmes Co., MS
Died July 21,1937 in Humphreys Co
2. William D. Bates Born about 1901
(William was at his brother’s funeral in 1937 with a woman no one knew. He left immediately after the service and was never seen again.
3. Mary Bates Born about 1904 Died unknown
May have married Clint York in 1918 in Humphreys Co., MS
John was also married before. He had a daughter from this marriage.
1. Ethel Bates Born Dec 1886 MS
Died unknown
May have married L.R. McGlawn in Holmes Co., in 1904
