Thank you for the information. However, some of the information is not true. John W. Almon's name by birth is really John Ira Almon. His father might be William Almon but, which one is he? I have looked up every name in all the census in all the towns and counties. This William Almon happens to be married to another woman with children at this time. William Anderson Almon the same is true. The men in this family is notorious for changing their names and their places of birth. John Ira Almon's son John Allen Almon is my grandfather and I only knew him as William Walter White. Just got that one verified six weeks ago from a family member who knew the truth and kept it secret until after he John/ William died and someone called the family member. It took me over 20 years to finally find the paperwork and then someone to verify it. There are so many William Almon's during that period of time it should take me at least another xxx amount for that one. The William Almon that was married to Helen Tate and had John Ira Almon was not from UK he was from Germany. Most of them were. This was just verified also. Someone knows of this Almon, but is holding the name. This family was not well liked was some of the children etc were in trouble alot to say the least. The ancestors from the above names, so I have been told, know the stories about the name changes and the family moves. I really don't care about all of that, I just want to find out who my ancestors are to finish up the family tree for my father before he passes. Thank you for all your help.
