Reds Rebels - Holmes County, Mississippi

Would appreciate any information relating to Reds Rebels which was formed by Capt. D. J. Red during the Civil War. My great great grandfather, David Beaty, was listed as being a Sergeant in this unit. I would like to find out what happened to them and how much of the war they actually saw. Grandpa Dave somehow made it to Wilkinson County where he married Mary Liza Felter. They are both buried in the Beattie Family Cemetery which is located on Carter Loop Road in the Buffalo Community of Wilkinson County. I would appreciate any information on Capt. D.J. Red and my gg grandfather, David Beaty.
