Fulton - Harlan Eugene “Gene” Palmer, 68, died July 16, 2008, at the Courtyards Nursing Facility. He was born Jan. 17, 1940, in Itawamba County. He was an employee of Itawamba Industries and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He was an avid conversationalist.
Graveside services were July 17 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Fulton with McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included his cousins, Eddie and Ann Palmer of Lafayette, La., Rene Evans of Fulton, Adam and Angie Palmer of Fulton, Nicole Palmer of Memphis; special friends, Bro. Ray Stevens, and Steve and Nancy Stevens, all of Tremont.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Omer Lee Jackson; his stepfather, Lonnie Jackson; and an uncle, Shelby Palmer.
