Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Bell Spencer were held Jan. 16, 1957 from the New Hope Baptist Church with burial in the New Hope Cemetery. Hawkins Funeral Home had charge. Death was attributed to a heart attack which she suffered only the evening before her death. Death came at 6:50 Tuesday (Jan. 15) morning. She had been in ill health for a number of years. She was 77. She had been a member of the New Home Baptist Church for 59 years.
Survivors included two sons, Dow Spencer and Herman Spencer, both of Fulton; and two daughters, Mrs. Garvin Pierce and Mrs. W. H. Rye, both of Fulton; one brother, Charles Chamblee of Fulton.
