Jamey MacArthur Bowen, 25, died July 22, 2008, at his home in Amory. He was born Aug. 8, 1982, to Jeanette Brown Bowen and Jimmy MacArthur Bowen. He was a lifelong resident of Amory and Monroe County. He attended Amory schools.
Services were at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory with burial in Liberty Cemetery in Itawamba County.
Survivors included his mother, Jeanette Brown Bowen of Amory; three brothers, Gary Bowen and Michael Bowen (Billie Gayle) of Amory, and Billy W. Freeman (Lisa) of Nettleton; four sisters, Betty Reeves (Rory) of Vernon, Ala., Becky Bowen (Ray Morris) of Aberdeen, Nancy Bowen of Smithville and Judy Neal (Douglas) of Amory; five nieces, nine nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy MacArthur Bowen; a sister, Pam Barrette; his grandparents, Annie Brown, and Cobern and Velda “Sis” Bowen; three uncles, Red Bowen, Jody Bowen and George Kennedy; and one aunt, Mildred Bridges.
