I apologize for not answering sooner. Yes, James H Davis would be a brother to my ggg-mother Parthemia Davis Whatley of Henry CO AL. I don't know what happened to James' children other than one of two of his sons who married in Jackson CO MS.

I have been working on this Davis line for some time and recently found info on the 8 siblings, including James. I had no idea he ended up in MS but he is clearly related to the others. You can see him on the 1840 Henry census living next door to his two bros in law, Mike and Wm B Whatley. I think James and wife had 3 of their 12 children in AL before moving to MS to have the rest.

I'd love to share the rest, and also to know what you have on some of his children. I don't know what happened to any of his daughters, either.

Thank you in advance.
