Enoch Sumrall, and wife Celia {Sally} Monk Sumrall, lived in VanCleve MS. For a while Enoch operated a ferry across the river. He and Celia are both buried in Jackson Co. at Magnolia Church Cem. Two of Enoch's children married into the Anderson family. One, Henry married Mary E Anderson; Joseph married Nancy Lee Anderson. Both women were daughters of James A Anderson and his wife Mary Louise Fillingame Anderson. Would any one know who Enoch's father was and have some bible record or other to show this connection? It is stated in many family web sites to be Isaac and Mary Sumrall-- but no one seems to have a source for this information. I would like to share and compare information about the Enoch Sumrall and James Anderson families. Enoch is my husbands great, great, grandfather.
