I have an ancestor named Benjamin A. Franklin from Jackson County, Mississippi. He married a Placidia Cralle Franklin in 1865, and he died in 1870 of typhoid pneumonia. They married in either Lancaster or Northumberland County, Virginia. The marriage record says that he was a teacher. His parents were Charles and Diana Franklin, according to marriage records in Virginia. I haven't been able to find out much about Franklins in Jackson County. If you have any more details about Franklins, please let me know. Thanks.
