I'm searching for information on the Thomas family of Mississippi that married into the Ross family of Jefferson County, MS.
Martha "Patsy" Thomas m. 6/2/1817 Isaac Arthur Brown Ross, Family lore states that she died and is buried in the Red Lick/Lorman area of Jefferson County, MS and that her son Samuel Thaddeus Ross is buried next to her. I have worked with Ms. Ann Brown a local resident, historian, and cemetery transcriber for the area, and have made 2 trips to the area and have not been able to find the grave of Patsy or her son Samuel.
The Beech Hill Cemetery just out of Red Lick, where I.A.B. Ross' father is buried houses a grave for a child of I.A.B. and Martha Ross. Ms. Anne Mims Wright's book on "A Record of the Descendents of Isaac Ross and Jean Brown and the Allied Families ..." mentions that they are buried in the Lawrence Ross graveyard. But no one I have spoken with knows of a cemetery by that name.
Some time after Patsy's death, the family moved to Texas.
Any help with this family would be appreciated.
