26 Nov. 1800. Chillicothe. Letter form Joseph Darlington recorded Dec. 13, 1802. Letter requesting sale of land. Writer states that he has written the father of the one addressed (G. H. Humphrey, Esq.). He says that his family was in good health on 28th day of last month and sends kind wishes to Mrs. Humphrey.

Dec. 13, 1803 Property quit claim. George W. Humphrey of Claiborne Co. MS to James Davenport of same, land on which William Thompson now lives, containing 280 acres. George W. Humphreys appeared in court and acknowleded before Daniel Burnett.

Signed in the presence of William Scott, Wm. Atchison, Bryan Bruin. Wm. Scott, one of the justices of Pickering Co.

16 July 1797 an Indenture between George Wilson Humphreys and Sarah, His wife of the one part and George Cochoran of the twon of Natchez of the other part. For fifty Mexican dollars, the land bounded on the N by Lewellen Price, by lands occupied by Ralph Humphreys, deceased, containing 100 acres, being part of a grant of 600 acres originally made to Ralph Humphreys, deceased, father of the aforesaid George W. Humphreys on 29 Jan. 1789. Grant made under His Catholic Majesty's government by Don Carlos De Grand Pre, Comm. of the E. District of Natchez. Improved by Ralph Humphries on and after 1 Aug. 1789. Signed George W. Humphreys and Sarah Humphreys.
