I am looking for the marriage record of John W. Martin and Harriet (maiden name unknown) and for Harriet’s maiden name. According to the 1850 Marengo Co., Al census, John was born about 1800 in Virginia and died in Lincoln Co., Ms June 24, 1886 and Harriet was born about 1806 in NC.
According to the census they had the following children: John W. Martin, Jr., born about 1831 in Al. and died in December 1896 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., Ms; Henry B. Martin, born about 1834 in Al, married July 11, 1857 in Lawrence Co., Ms. to Amelia A. Bridges and died before 1880 in Jefferson Co., Ms.; Sarah E. Martin, born about 1837 in Al, married July 11, 1857 (?) in Hinds Co., Ms. to William A. Rodwell, died before 1896 in Ms.; Andrew J. Martin, born about 1841 in Al, died after 1896 in Ms(?); and Harriet L. Martin, born about 1844 in Al, died before 1896 in Ms (?).
Any information on this family would be appreciated.
