Karen: My mother was Keppel McCarty who married Albert Campbell Alexander, Jr., of Montrose, MS, while at French Camp on the Natchez Trace. Her twin, Opal McCarty also attended as did my father above. Keppel and Opal had twin brothers b. 1912: Hugh and Edward McCarty. Edward's wife died and he and Katie McNeil became good friends. I rec'd an email today from MO inquiring about Katie re her pic in the Jasper Co. Cemetery Book. I was told by one who said that she was Pam, that she was a child of Katie McNeil born Dec 1947 and put out for adoption in 1949. I do not have any idea if she was truthful or not, but wanted to get you and she in touch, if you are interested. She said her name was Kathryn Renee (no maiden name given). I do not want to open a can of worms but she would find you as soon as she got your name from the book. I wrote to Katie a couple of times and talked to her on the phone once or twice re McCarty ancestors. She had met a Wanda Blanche Barnes, d/o Carolton Ray and Celeste (Shoemaker) Barnes, who was a McCarty researcher. They ran into each other in Bay Springs at a copying machine as each were making copies of family material. I got a lot of our McCarty info from her. At any rate, I called to thank her for her letter giving Wanda's address to me. She told me that she was good friends with my uncle Edward McCarty. I did very much want to meet her but time ran out by the time I got back in Laurel for a visit. If interested further, please contact me: <maxtrax@pdq.net> 281 345 1775 Cypress, TX 77433-1119 I will try to find your sisters in Jones Co., too. Notify Administrator about this message?
