I am seeking information for my mother-in-law on her father Marvin Beveloyd Fortenberry. I have a couple of photos with him in his uniform. I know that he was born in Tyler County, Mississippi abt. 1898 and that he was married to Edith Hathorn. I also know that he was living in Jones County, Mississippi in 1926-27 when he vanished (march 1927). His daughter, Anita Maxine, was only about 3 months old at the time. I believe his father was Ivan H. Fortenberry (Mother: Laura Melissa Alford)and that he was the youngest of 10 children. I believe he may have died around 1980 in California but that is pure speculation.
