Sarah Collins was the second child of Stacy Collins and Sarah Anderson Gibson Collins who settled in the Jones County (then Covington) MS area ca. 1820. She married George Willoughby Walters who died about 1851. She secondly married (but only briefly lived with) James Leander Parker. Several of her brothers and nephews were members of the Newt Knight Company during the Civil War. She died in 1899 and is buried in the Indian Springs Baptist Church cemetery. She was my 3gr grandmother.
I have obtained basic information about her but am wondering if any family letters might survive from either the Collins or Walters sides that mention her. Would like to hear from anyone who has or knows of such materials.
