I am trying to find out more about the family of Wash and Martha Morris Harris. One of their sons, Japhet, listed his place of birth as Kemper Co. Miss. in 1843 or 1844. There were six children in this family. They moved to Rusk Co. TX about 1850-1852. Then after Wash's death to LA. I have not been able to find this family in any census or other records. Any help would be much appreciated.
