MEMPHIS – Minnie Slate, 109, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, at Delta Medical Center in Memphis. A native of Lafayette County, she was a former resident of Oxford. She was a homemaker and a member of the Heroines of Jericho Buford Court 562. She was the widow of Arthur Slate.
Services were at Tobby Tubby M.B. Church with the burial in the church cemetery. Hodges Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included six grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
