I do not know anything about your John Johnston who married Lavinia Jolly. However, there are numerous other Johnstons in Lafayette County. Six Johnston brothers and sisters left North Carolina in 1846 for Mississippi. These are the Johnstons in my line.

Do you have any additional information on your Johnstons? I can check my other Johnstons if you can give me a lead.
