Moore / Brooks families Lauderdale Co., MS 1860

Samuel William Moore and his brother John Allen Moore married sisters (in 1860)Arkansas and (c1864)Benita Brooks, daughters of William and Permelia (Turner) Brooks.
Where was William and Permelia Brooks in 1860? I have searched every Brooks available in the 1860 MS and AL census.
William and Arkansas Moore were in the 1860 Lauderdale Co., Census but his family home was across the line in Newton County.
William Brooks was in 1850 Troup Co., GA. The next time he shows up is in 1880 Freestone Co., TX along with William Moore and brother John A. Moore.
In 1870 Newton Co., there was a J.S. Brooks that I think was Joseph S. Brooks and a brother to Arkansas and Benita. He also moves to Freestone Co., TX.
Any help appreciated.
