1860 Lauderdale Co., MS Census:

C.G.Miller - 60 - M - Farmer - 7,000 - 17,400 - NC
Martin V. - 22 - M - Farm Lab - NC
Gilbert L. - 19 - M - Farm Lab - NC
James - 64 - M - Farm Lab - NC
T.Collier - 64 - M - Farm Lab - GA

C. G. Miller b. 1800 New Hanover Co., NC had a son, George W. Miller, born about 1830 who m. Eliza Thankful or Thankful Lamb and moved to Smith Co., TX and later Montague Co., TX.

For years, I have looked for a connection between Charles Gause Miller, his brother, James, and my GGGF Eli T. Miller. In the 1850 Census, Charles G. and James Miller were in Kemper Co. not far away from my Millers but in the 1860 Census they were very close. I have researched the New Hanover Co., NC Millers in an attempt to tie my Millers to them. John Miller is the father of John, Thomas Jefferson, James and Charles Gause Miller.

Let's compare notes!
