Looking for information on Winniford P. Morgan born abt 1818 GA. Married Robert A. Rutherford b 1823 AL. They moved to Lauderdale Co MS and had the following children who were on the 1860 census:
Joanna Rutherford born 1846 AL died 1916 MS married James Kye Clay
Jane W. Rutherford b 1852 Lauderdale Co MS
Robert H. Rutherford b 1853 Lauderdale Co MS
Susan D. Rutherford b 1859 Lauderdale Co MS
The last I could find either Winniford or Robert was on the 1860 census. However, Robert served in the Civil War. R. A. Rutherford, 38 years old, was a Private in the Confederate 5th Regiment, Company C Mississippi infantry organized Sept. 5 1861 at Enterprise. Consolidated with 3rd Infantry Battalion between July 24, 1864 and April 9 1865.
