In your search of your Lott family do you have a Martha?
I'm researching George Franklin Fulgham there was a marriage in 1845 to a Marth Lott in Harrison County Texas.
George was born in Lawrence Miss abt 1812, in the 1840's he and his brothers moved their families from Miss across La (where George's first wife died after the birth of their 4th son) into Texas where we find this marriage to Martha. Then I find him married to a Miriam Johnson and by 1850's he is taking his family on to California. I'm not sure if the George in this marriage is mine or not.
