Looking for information on Elon and Greeley Kelley of Leake County, MS. Elon was married to Nora Mooney. He was born August 12, 1882 and died March 30, 1962. Nora died November 25, 1959. He was the son of James Madison and Etta Jones Kelley. They are all buried in Zion Hill Cemetery. I think Uncle Elon had a son named Alvin, called him Jack, whose wife was Dora. Also had a daughter, Myrtis married to a Mr. Gainey. Not sure of anything else. Uncle Greeley was born March 1, 1878 and died April 9, 1949. He was married to Birdie Jane. These were my great uncles I found their graves in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Leake Co. Do not know if they had children or not. Also found Emmitt "Otho" Kelley, my fathers brother buried in Reformation Cemetery. b. 2/22/1890 and died in 1975. Aunt Eula was not buried beside him, so am not sure where she might be. I know they did not have children. If anyone knows anything about this family, please let me know. We descend from Abner Kelley in Attala County. My father, Elmer Newton Kelley, moved to the Delta when he was a child. He was the son of Eugene Marzellus Kelley.
