Palmetto Community - Mrs. Lisa Carol Woods Finney, 44, died Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born September 14, 1963, in Greenville Mississippi, the daughter of Cecil and Earline Keith Woods. She was a 1981 graduate of Mooreville High School and attended Itawamba Community College and Tomlinson College in Cleveland, Tennessee. She was a licensed Massage Therapist and was a member of the American Massage Therapy Association where she served as a vice president. She attended the Orchard United Methodist Church. She was a beautiful lady, a beautiful person and a angel of life. She was always a loving, caring and giving wife, mother and friend. She was a Christian woman who loved God and her family. In her short life she helped many people and will be surely missed by her family and many friends. There are tears of sadness but at the same time there will be tears of joy because we can celebrate as she begins her new journey with Christ our lord.
Services were May 19, 2008 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland-Harris Funeral Directors with burial in Tupelo Memorial Park.
Survivors included her husband of 23 years, Ken Finney, whom she married January 19, 1985; her son, Clay Finney of the home; her father and mother, Cecil and Earline Keith Woods of Mooreville; sisters,Anita Eskew ( Bro. Marvin) of Cleveland, Tennessee, Amy Worsham (Wayne) of Mooreville ; grandmother, Rader Keith of Mooreville; father and mother in law, Paul and Bonnie Finney of the Palmetto Community; sister in law Tanya Robbins (Ricky) of Pontotoc; brother in law, Kirk Finney (Stephanie) of Pontotoc; aunt Linda Yielding (William) of Mantachie, Sherry Chaney (John) of Delta City, Charolette Turner (Jim) of Tremont, Laverne Davis (Richard) of Cleveland, Tenn.; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Leon Keith; grandparents Herman and Lera Woods.
