Gladys Alline Carr, 80, died in Mooreville. She was born Feb. 19, 1928, in Pontotoc County to Albert Lawrence and Gladys Stegall Perry. She was a homemaker and a member of the Tupelo Church of God. She was a loving mother and devout Christian, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Services were at the Tupelo Church of God. Burial was in Thaxton Cemetery.
Survivors included four sons, Sammie Jody Carr (Mitzi) of Nettleton, Randy Carr (Cathy) of Hurricane, Tim Carr (Stephanie) of Belden and Phillip Carr (Connie) of Mooreville; five daughters, Barbara Knox (Jim) of Mooreville, Terry Willis (David) of Columbus, Nita Dickey (Terry) of Guntown, Patricia Dale Long (Robbie) of Thaxton and Diane Tatum (James) of Nettleton; four half brothers, Dean, Wayne and Tony Perry of Booneville, and Sidney Perry of Belmont; three half sisters, Sandra Thompson of Tishomingo, Peggy Perry and Juanita Perry, both of Booneville; 21 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; a special friend, Bobby McCory.
She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Wash Carr, and a granddaughter, Dorisha Ellis.
