Darrell Eugene Tramontine, 64, died June 16, 2008, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. A native of Iron, Mich., he was born Dec. 28, 1943. A 100 percent disabled American veteran, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was an employee of Daybrite Lighting for over 20 years. He enjoyed arts and crafts shows, antiquing, watching Mississippi State football and wrestling, and spending time with his grandson. His wife remembers him as a wonderful husband and soul mate.
Memorial services were at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues.
Survivors included his wife of 31 years, Brenda Tramontine of Tupelo; two stepchildren and one grandson, Michael Thomas Martin, of Dickerson, Texas.
