Robert A. Sandefur, 73, died June 15, 2008, at Community Hospice in Verona. A lifelong resident of Tupelo, he was born Oct. 26, 1934, to Troy and Jenny Mae White Sandefur.
He was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church and a retired employee of Tupelo Water and Light. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and watching television.
Services were at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with burial in Tupelo Memorial Park.
Survivors included his wife of 57 years, Elois Bedford Sandefur of Tupelo; two sons, David Sandefur (Theresa) and Danny Sandefur, all of Tupelo; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one stepbrother, Larry Fears.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Janie K. Hayes; his stepmother, Ruth Sandefur; and a daughter-in-law, Joyce Sandefur.
