Mattie Green, 87, died June 18, 2008, at her residence in Tupelo. She was bron June 25, 1918, to Elijah and Pearl McIntosh.
Service were at Mt. Zion M.B. Church in Verona with burial at the Church cemetery. Agnew and Sons Funeral Home of Verona was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors included five daughters, Doris Jean Green (Louis) of Verona, Hattie Mae Green of Tupelo, Lorine Washington (Willie) of Shannon, Lonnie Mae Green of Palmetto, Pearline Cowley(James) of Plantersville; two sons, Willie Green Jr. and Jessie Lee Green, both of Shannon; one sister,Mary T. Burks; one brother, Monroe McIntosh; 23 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 40 great-great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Green.
