Jerry Williams, 50, died June 29, 2008, at his residence. He was born Aug. 27, 1957, in Paducah, Ky., to Johnnie Roy and Verna S. Williams. A lifelong resident of Tupelo, he attended the First United Methodist Church. He worked as an automotive technician. He enjoyed racing motorcycles and working with small engines. He was known for his devotion to his mother and family.
Graveside services were at Tupelo Memorial Park with W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors in charge.
Survivors included one daughter, Suzanne Gayle Williams, and one son, Christopher Devin Williams, both of Guntown; his mother, Verna Williams; two sisters, Rose Sonja Clemens of Scottsboro, Ala., and Ellen Diane Wigginton of Grapevine, Texas; two brothers, R. Wayne Williams of Summerville, Tenn., and Ernest “Buddy” Williams of Oakridge, Tenn.; the mother of his children, Rhonda Williams of Guntown.
