If am searching for infoon Karl Oberschmidt who married Anna Philippi of New Orleans. They had 4 known children:Dorothea Lisetta b. Sept 1, 1864, Karl Freiderich b. Feb. 15, 1866, Elisabeth Johanna . Aug 29, 1869 and Anna Elisabeth b. May 31 1870. The family return to St. Matthews Evangelical Church on Carrollton Ave., New Orleans for the baptism of these children. After the baptisms my records end. I have not been able to locate Fair River or any cemeteries near there. Can anyone help? Are there still Oberschmidts in the area? Thanks for any help. I will exchange the info I have.
