Rev. J. SCARBOROUGH returned recently from a ten day trip to Lawrence County, where he was attending the bedside of his dying father, in the 87th year of his age...his remains were laid quietly away in the beautiful cemetery at Society Hill Baptist Church to await the sounding of the last trumpet. Rev. J. A. SCARBOROUGH - Many hearts have been made sad by the news on last Saturday to the effect that Rev. James Allen SCARBOROUGH had been claimed during the early morning hours by the pale reaper, Death.... The funeral took place Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at old Shiloh Baptist Church, Lawrence county. J. A. SCARBOROUGH was born in Lawrence County, June 1 1846. In 1862 at the age of 16 he enlisted in Company A, 22nd Miss. Regt. CSA...sympathy to his lonely widow and grief stricken children....
