Is there anyone out there that lives in Columbus? As a child I lived in Columbus, MS. from 1959 to summer of 1964.
We lived at two different houses on Military Rd. One was across the street from a fire dept. and the other was north of there across from a little grocery store. I think the store was Fuqua's. North meaning that's what my memory holds. It could be in any direction. I went to Franklin Academy and jr. high at Joe Cook. My older sister went to Lee High School. We had really close friends that over the years I've wondered what became of them. Their names were Jackie, Johnny, Jerry and Pat Smith. Pat was my best friend.
I am coming to Columbus on Friday or Saturday, June 28 or 29, 2002. I want to look up the old neighborhood, if it is still there. I will leave on Monday, 24th, so if anyone should be able to answer this post before then, please do.
