Thomas Middleton was born 14 Mach 1756 in NC(?). He lived in Bute and Warren Cos. NC during the 1780's and 1790's. He moved to Lancaster Co. SC to Butler Co. OH and back to SC by 1811. He is enumerated on the 1820 Lincoln Co. TN census, the 1830 Monroe Co. MS census and died in Lowdnes Co. MS as the county line changed. His death was 24 March 1832. He left a Will which only names his grandson--Malcolm C. Middleton. Proven children are hard to come by. Nancy m. George Ford, Odie m. Raleigh P. Weaver, and Sarah m. John Harrison. James appears to be the son who sired Malcolm. Thomas is a possible son. Hard to find the males on any records near their parents.
